SIRUP realized an online shop for the Berliner bookshop LangerBlomqvist with which the book seller can not only offer new books but also support the heart of their business in the "Modernes Antiquariat" (Modern Vintage) segment. In addition to developing a unique and elegant look, attention was paid to a simple user experience and the implementation of a system that highlights the sale and management of vintage and collectible books.
The online shop offers new and existing customers quick access to the daily specials from LangerBlomqvist. The hand-picked selection of remainders is presented using search filters and special offer teasers; a fast and uncomplicated ordering process with an option to pick up the goods in person is achieved through traditional online shipping processes.
The shop system developed for LangerBlomqvist uses a custom tailored CMS (Content Management System) for creating and publishing product listings including descriptions and recommendations. By interfacing with supplier's systems, basic information for vintage titles and detailed information for new editions can be automatically imported. Incoming orders, invoicing and shipping planning can also be managed through well-structured processes in the CMS. The care and maintenance of all areas of the website can be handled self-sufficiently by LangerBlomquist.
